Decarbonise industry with high efficiency systems
Decarbonise industry with high efficiency systems
Industry accounts for 37% of global energy consumption and therefore a large portion of greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve a 45% reduction in emissions by 2030 and reach the net-zero target by 2050, heating and cooling processes, which are responsible for 50% of global energy consumption, need to become much more efficient.
CAREL offers advanced temperature and humidity control solutions, combined with heat recovery, to reduce energy consumption across a wide range of industrial applications, including high-temperature heat pumps.
High-temperature industrial heat pumps are currently one of the most interesting opportunities, for both lawmakers and companies, to reduce emissions through the use of electricity, and improve energy efficiency.
Moreover, future economic incentives in the industrial sector and very fast payback times will increasingly boost the introduction of this technology, currently mature for temperatures up to 100 °C, and under development for temperatures between 100-200 °C.
Complete range for process chillers
The recent official announcement of the phase-down of HFCs by the European Council and Parliament is aimed at restricting the use of fluorinated gases, so as to reduce atmospheric emissions and the consequent increase in global temperatures: this requires new dynamics from a technological point of view, due to the increasing adoption of low GWP refrigerants, such as propane, but also CO2, R32, R452B, R454B, and R513A.
CAREL is ready to face the current challenges and opportunities that are emerging in the industry, especially in the process industry, by offering μChiller Process for the small and medium-sized process chiller market, as well as advanced programmable controllers for larger process chillers.

Complete range for high-temperature industrial heat pumps
The advanced technology that goes into CAREL’s valves means they are easy to integrate and combine. Our valves are designed to meet the specific needs of various applications, ensuring the highest performance and reliability.
Specifically, the new K high temperature range ensures fine control at low flow-rates. Equipercentile control guarantees maximum precision at each specific flow-rate. The use of high-tech materials guarantees operation with fluids up to 100°C.

Complete range for industrial applications
In recent decades, research in the HVAC/R market has focused on the design of higher performance units, with a low environmental impact and increasingly optimised energy efficiency. One of the most effective solutions currently available for achieving energy savings in refrigeration systems involves modulation of the compressor’s cooling capacity.
This continuous research has led to the adoption of latest-generation variable-speed compressors, which are no longer equipped with traditional asynchronous AC motors, but rather with more efficient permanent magnet brushless DC motors. Unlike the traditional AC motors, DC motors cannot work by simply connecting them to the mains power supply, rather they need a power control device to manage their speed.
Power+ is the CAREL product range designed for driving variable-speed compressors equipped with the latest-generation permanent magnet motors. For almost 15 years, CAREL has been offering its customers one of the best solutions for reducing energy consumption in compressor racks.
