The cutting-edge in food retail refrigerating unit control
The cutting-edge in food retail refrigerating unit control
The growing market demands among large retailers and rapid technological evolutions require the introduction of products that are increasingly focused on energy efficiency and reducing environmental impact. These trends are further accompanied by issues relating to the integration of artificial intelligence, big data and cybersecurity, which improve automation, control precision and security, allowing real-time monitoring and more efficient management.
The evolution of the top of the range
The main objectives of CAREL’s offering have always been energy efficiency, optimal food preservation and food safety. These features, in addition to the new demands described above, need to be accompanied by a simplified user experience to reduce initial configuration and maintenance times. These requirements have guided the development of the new MPXPRO, designed starting from the solid foundations of the previous generation controller, widely-used in commercial refrigeration applications.
The new solution expands and completes the range of latest-generation products, ranging from the compact MPXzero version and the versatile MPXone, up to the advanced performance of the new MPXPRO.
A complete offering able to meet the specific needs of the food retail segment, from stand-alone (plug-in) units with variable-speed compressors, to remote cabinets and cold rooms equipped with electronic expansion valves. All the solutions share a common family feeling in terms of HMI aesthetics and configuration, making the entire proposal scalable in terms of features, and consistent in ease of use.
The new MPXPRO is much more than a simple electronic controller: it represents a key device for a modern and fully-integrated refrigeration system.
Compact solution
The new MPXPRO reduces the overall footprint compared to the previous version; occupying just 6 DIN modules it represents the most compact solution in this product segment. The improved form factor simplifies integration into electrical panels, with minimal replacement costs, reducing installation/replacement time and costs.
Extended energy monitoring
The new solution can monitor unit operating conditions and create a specific unit profile. This enables large-scale comparative analyses, both in terms of energy consumption and temperature control, providing crucial information for end users, OEMs and installers.
Advanced connectivity: field and remote
NFC and Bluetooth technologies, now standard across the entire offering, mean the Applica app can also be used with the new MPXPRO, allowing the units to be managed via smartphone or tablet and simplifying use even for the most complex applications. Furthermore, the modular approach adopted in the new platform makes it possible to extend communication features and performance, ensuring simplified integration into the latest building automation systems.
