c.pCO - Programmable controller

c.pCO is the CAREL programmable controller designed for air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC/R applications. It combines flexible input/output configuration, advanced connectivity and a choice of programming environments to support OEMs developing efficient, connected and application-specific control systems.

Main benefits:

  • Programmability: compatible with c.suite or STone, depending on the model.
  • Cybersecurity by design: STone-based versions are developed in line with IEC 62443 principles.
  • I/O flexibility: up to 10 universal I/O channels configurable as analogue inputs, digital inputs or analogue outputs.
  • Advanced connectivity: up to two built-in Ethernet interfaces, three serial interfaces, two USB ports and two optional expansion card slots.
  • Energy efficiency: medium models can integrate up to two electronic expansion valve drivers with optional Ultracap module.
  • HVAC/R integration: suitable for customised control solutions in air conditioning, refrigeration and HVAC/R systems.

The controller is designed for OEMs and technical teams that need to manage HVAC/R units with flexible hardware, configurable software and reliable communication with field devices, supervision systems and cloud services. Its architecture supports both standardised machine control and customised application logic.

The range is available in different sizes, including small, medium, large and extra-large versions. This allows designers to select the most suitable configuration according to the number of inputs and outputs, connectivity requirements, local interface needs and application complexity.

The platform supports local connectivity through standard protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, Modbus TCP/UDP, BACnet IP/MSTP, FTP, FTPS, DHCP, DNS, mDNS, NTP and OPC UA. This makes it suitable for integration into Building Management Systems (BMS), supervisory architectures and multi-controller networks.
